Down Syndrome Families of Las Cruces is having their third annual Buddy Day on March 10th from 10am -2pm. Buddy Day is a day to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and the differences in each one of us. This event is important to us, because one of DSFLC’s goals is to help create a kinder world for our kids. It is at events like the Buddy Day that we are able to invite our community to come and have a fun, free time and play right alongside our children. It is a time for our community to see individuals with Down syndrome and see that while they do have differences, they are like typical children. They want to play, have friends, laugh and explore. Teens and adults with Down syndrome have goals, dreams and talents. I believe Buddy Day, shows our community how wonderful people with Down syndrome are. I hope you will join us on March 10th, its going to be a wonderful day!
